New link in the Heart of Sherwood Forest
Ollerton roundabout to Edwinstowe. – landowners dedicate new route.
We have another new bridleway linking up the Heart of Sherwood Forest after the Thoresby Estate and Harworth Estate dedicated a link from Ollerton roundabout to the existing Edwinstowe bridleway that dead-ends on the A616.
Building The Alders, the new Marstons pub restaurant, has delayed things but with its opening an alternative route around the site has been added so official recognition for this important link can go ahead.
Immediately on the right as you enter the car park there are 5 dedicated public parking places for people wanting to visit Sherwood Heath.
Here is a map – there are cross links to shorten the route for walkers. It makes a good bike ride.
