Thoresby and Perlethorpe

May 26, 2026

There is a lot more to do at Thoresby these days. The Hall is now Thoresby Hall Hotel but the grounds and former stable block are open – see Thoresby Estate’s events website.

The Queen’s Royal Lancers and Nottinghamshire Yeomanry Museum has recently opened and is very interesting.

There is also a good website about the Thoresby Hall and Perlethorpe

Walks

Thoresby walks   – easy walking and cycling round the cricket pitch and along the roadways past the church to Perlethorpe and back via the roadway and paths or across the meadows. There is a longer loop south before the church that takes you through a wonderful avenue of Giant Redwood Trees. You can even stop in at the Perlethorpe Institute if you time it right. See the photo on the slide show. Recommended
