Blidworth
Blidworth walk 1 Leisurely – 4.6 miles (7.4km) Some arable field walking. A walk with a number of Robin Hood connections. There is an interpretation installation at the Moat.
Blidworth walk 2 Leisurely – 1.6 miles (2.6km) Pleasant stroll round the older parts of the village with ups and downs though.
Blidworth walk 3 Leisurely – 2.8 miles (4.5km) Pleasant stroll along quiet by-way, through fields with nice pond and the old part of the village. Some ups and downs. There are some nettles on the narrowest part of the footpath.
Blidworth walk 4 Leisurely – 6.0 miles (9.6km) The Blidworth half-round. Forestry tracks or similar. Some hills to go up and down.
Blidworth walk 5 Leisurely – 7.6 miles (12.2km) The Blidworth three quarters-round. Same above but the last part through the old part of the village. Two stiles on the section along the footpath.
Blidworth walk 6 Moderate – 8.8 miles (14.1km) The Blidworth full-round. Similar to above but more of the footpaths to the west of the village more ups and downs and some nettles on narrowest part of the path but nice pond and views.
Calverton
Calverton walk 1 Moderate – 9 miles (15km). This one is a mix of history and habitats. Good views, woods, two hills and picturesque Oxton village.

Oxton and Epperstone
Oxton Village walks Easy – 1.3 miles (2.1km) – it is not every day you can see a Listed petrol pump! Leisurely if you walk all the way up Honeyknab Lane. This is a byway 1.3 miles(2.1km) long. It’s the only there and back walk we have included but it is very quiet, rough but firm surface, gently rising to give good views of the well wooded hills around.
Epperstone walk 1 Moderate – 2.6 miles (4.2km). There is a steep hill. Some very fine views, wonderful range of wildflowers and many fine buildings including a wonderful dovecote on Main Street.
Epperstone walk 2 Leisurely – 1.8 miles (2.9km) or 2.1miles (3.4km) if at Village Hall. No serious hills on this one though there are some steps and stiles. Many fine buildings including a wonderful dovecote on Main Street plus a walk across the water meadow.
Linby, Newstead and Papplewick
Linby walk 1 Leisurely – 6 miles (9.6km) This is a really good walk. Wander round the picturesque villages of Linby and Papplewick plus beautiful Newstead Abbey. The old rail line has an interesting range of wild flowers in the pools and bogs.
Linby walk 2 Leisurely – 4.6 miles (7.2km). Walk the historic and attractive villagers of Linby and Papplewick.
Linby walk 3 Easy – 2.1 miles (3.4km) Similar to the above but just the villages, no extra sections.
Newstead walk 1 Leisurely – 6.5 miles (10.4km) A chance to see more of Newstead than most visitors. Walking round the Abbey grounds hasn’t been included in the distance.

Farnsfield
Robin Hood Hill – Farnsfield walk Moderate (takes about 3 hours) – 6.9 miles (11.0.km) Iron Age fort and good views over Sherwood Forest from the heights.
