Carburton

Carburton is a very small village on the River Pouter between the Welbeck Lakes and Clumber Lake. The Welbeck lakes are well worth a visit- you can park at the side of the Carburton to Norton Road. It is a good place to see lots of different types of birds.

The County Council have restored the  Carburton water meadows and there is a display about the meadows in the Old School Tea Room.

There was a prisoner of war camp at Youngrough Breck during the Second World War (1939 – 1945).
